Who are we

We are the members group for the Birmingham area.

Kingfisher On this website you will find out information on our trips walks and meetings.

Our indoor meetings are held on Thursday evenings and regularly features entertaining guest speakers with slide shows and information about their experiences.

We also organise regular day trips to far flung areas of the UK including Strumpshaw Fen, Bempton Cliffs and Spurn Head to name but a few.

There are also organised walks plus details of special events that RSPB Birmingham take part in.

ABOUT BIRDS

Arctic Tern
With its long tail streamers and general shape the Arctic tern deserves the local name of 'sea swallow'. Appearing white with a black cap, it is largely coastal although it can be seen inland on migration

Firecrest
This tiny, restless jewel of a bird vies with the goldcrest for the title of the UK's smallest bird. It is now an established breeding species, although only in very small numbers.
